Welcome to Big Bear Municipal Water District's Carp Round-Up! Take part in the reaping that helps control Big Bear Lake's carp population. Each year the Big Bear Municipal Water District hosts a Carp Round-Up to help improve Lake quality and for some outdoor entertainment. Hunters from around the U.S.A. come to Big Bear Lake for two days of Carp shooting and angling. Food and prizes are an integral part of this yearly event. 2023 Outdoor Adventure Days is set for June 24-25, 2023 This is Big Bear's most diverse festival of outdoor activities, promoting the area’s natural beauty, accessibility, and unique habitats. Join monthly volunteer events March – October 2023 to restore disturbed lands across the San Bernardino National Forest. All events will improve habitat for wildlife, plants, the Monarch butterfly, and other pollinators. Activities may include collecting and dispersing native seeds, out planting of native species, slashing, barrier installation, nursery work, watering and restoration site maintenance and restoring illegal user created routes.
