Property Manager

You will be responsible for ensuring that the home is both functional and presentable. Your schedule is varied weekly depending on the number of departures and arrivals. You will work with the housekeeping department to ensure assigned vacation rental properties meet all cleanliness and condition requirements set by the company. Weekend and holiday work required. Candidate will have ability to evolve with requirements of position and changing market.

The PM Inspector will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Inspecting properties for maintenance and housekeeping issues – checking every drawer, underneath every bed, in every cabinet and behind every door. Recording everything in a mobile app and/or checklist. Record and report all maintenance deficiencies and unauthorized use of rooms or Owner spaces.
  • Completes Kitchen Inventory in order to keep kitchen fully stocked for Guests
  • Personally performing minor repairs or light cleaning. May include but is not limited to: Changing light bulbs, replacing batteries, organizing kitchen cupboards, etc. Stock light bulbs in each home.
  • Inspect condition of linens and verify linen count. Report dirty linens that need to be picked up to the Housekeeping Coordinator/Supervisor.
  • Ensure that the property inventory is maintained to Big Bear Vacations standards. Restocking anything that is missed (call Owner if needed).
  • Identify immediate concerns and communicate effectively with the appropriate department and/or Owner to ensure a positive resolution before Guest arrival.
  • Ensuring that the property is not only Guest ready, but also offering an exceptional presentation.
  • Monitors properties and offers suggestions to Owners on ways to increase income, and improve - while maintaining ordinance mandates.
  • Ensure snow removal has done their job (courtesy call to them if not) and verify: manicured walkways – clearing snow, pine needles, and other debris for clean presentation.
  • Key and property access management – ensure access for Guests works and lock box keys are in place.
  • Secure the house, making sure all windows and doors are closed and locked, lights off, and thermostats set to a safe and cost effective setting to avoid frozen pipes and hefty utility bills!
  • Schedules Deep Cleans and inspects them.
  • Ability to call housekeepers for a site visit to correct quality when needed.
  • Perform Housekeeper duties as required during peak-season and/or when business necessitates additional assistance in cleaning units.
  • TV and utility appointments-manage and reschedule if owner or maintenance made appointment is not conducive to schedule. Must effectively
  • Gaming Supplies must be fully stocked in each home. Cue tips, balls for game tables etc.
  • Pet Damage must be monitored in a timely fashion and appropriately reported for action to be taken (such as charging Guests).


  • A keen eye for detail is a must!
  • Ability to prioritize work efficiently.
  • The ability to cope well under pressure, and excellent time management.
  • Knowledge of standard cleaning practices.
  • Ability to positively interact with rental Guests, Owners, and other employees.
  • Above average proficiency in the use of mobile electronic devices.
  • The ability to communicate professionally and efficiently both electronically and in person.
  • Demonstrate thoroughness, self-motivation, and organization when accomplishing tasks.
  • Required to have a flexible schedule to meet the demands of this job.
  • Required to be available Saturdays and Sundays. You may be asked to work holidays as well.
  • Your own valid transportation.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Specific room to room checklist to be provided.
