The Fall season in Big Bear Lake is without a doubt absolutely gorgeous. The air gets just a bit crisper, leaves begin to change color, and the cool evening breezes usher in the enchantment of a German celebration like no other. Oktoberfest in Big Bear combines the mountain’s charm with authentic German traditions, live entertainment direct from Germany, and the very same beers and food served at the celebrations of Germany.

This year’s festival will once again feature bands direct from Germany, authentic, German-brewed Oktoberfest biers, and, of course, all the great German brats, strudel and pretzels. If this is your first time attending Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest, you are certain to make some new memories while you take in the sights and sounds of Big Bear’s most revered event. If you are joining us again, it becomes automatic that more priceless memories are to be had.

FREE Rides to Oktoberfest via the Free Big Bear Trolley!


Another bonus is Oktoberfest makes it easy to get to the event and back safely. This year, the Free Big Bear Trolley gives complimentary rides to the Big Bear Lake Convention Center (home to Oktoberfest), as one of the Free Trolley’s regular stops. There are over 100 bus stops throughout Big Bear Valley (see route maps below). With limited parking capacity, Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest organizers encourage guests to hop on The Free Big Bear Trolley to catch a free ride to the event. Oktoberfest guests are encouraged to visit MountainTransit.org to view the different routes and schedules to determine which bus stop best services them for a free ride.

In celebration of the 55th Anniversary, we have rolled out a variety of new ticket options and exciting new activities so you can enjoy even more great Oktoberfest fun!

New for 2025:

Beer Tasting Fridays:
Friday, Oct. 3 and Friday, Oct. 24
We know Oktoberfest is as much about the beer as the great German fun, so this year guests will have an opportunity to enjoy two great events in one! Beer tasting will feature a wide variety of micro-beers and seltzers from throughout the West Coast. Sampling will take place during Oktoberfest from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Saturday After Dark:
Join us as we transition from more traditional German day-time entertainment to an amped up German party. Entry for After Dark begins at 7:30 p.m. More details to come soon!

Game Day Sundays:
Sundays at Oktoberfest are a little more relaxed, yet offer all the same great German fun! Wear your favorite Sports Team Jersey and receive $5.00 off General Admission! With two big screen TVs playing the games of the day, enjoy a day under the pines, some great German beer, and a day of football!

Sunday is Family Day! This year children (12 years and under) will be FREE on Sundays. We also offer special kids contests every Sunday afternoon at approx. 3 p.m.

A couple things to keep in mind…
Please be prepared to show photo I.D. upon arrival.
Pre-purchased ticket holders receive “Preferred Entry”.
Saturday Entry Time Slots help us ensure swift entry on our busiest days. We offer two arrival time slots either 1 p.m. or 4 p.m. Once you’ve arrived, you are invited to stay the entire day or evening and celebrate! Please plan to arrive within the time slot you choose when purchasing your ticket.

  • 4 p.m. through 7 p.m. arrival time

  • ÜBER BURGERMEISTER PACKAGE:
    The all-inclusive package! Limited supply available. Includes 55th Annual One Liter Stein, First Beer, German Meal and Preferred Seating. Good Any Day – you choose the day! Just let us know so we can make sure to reserve your seat! Must be 21 years or older to purchase. Photo ID will be required when picking up package at Oktoberfest.
  • Preferred Seating Indoors & Outdoors:
    Preferred Seating includes admission, a guaranteed seat, both cocktail & food table service (table service does not include the cost of beverages or food ordered). Please Note: Preferred seats are not assigned, but are guaranteed. Our seating is “Family Style”, which means the tables are shared with other guests. Be mindful of your reservation when selecting indoor or outdoor seating. Please note: German bands play on the Beer Hall Indoor stage and the American bands play on the Outdoor High Altitude Bier Garten stage. Unfortunately, once tickets have been purchased there are no changes and you will not be able to move from outdoors to indoors or vice versa. Of course, you are always welcome to roam about during your visit, but your guaranteed seat will either be Indoors or Outdoors depending on which ticket type you purchase.

FRIDAY NIGHTS IN OCTOBER:
Get an early start to extend your weekend getaway to Big Bear. Enjoy a more intimate night of Oktoberfest with fewer crowds, yet all the same exciting fun. Get an early start to your weekend get-a-way to Big Bear.

Group Seating:

LOVE SHACKS:
Love Shacks are converted wooden bungalows situated for you and your 9 best friends! Located in the outdoor High Altitude Biergarten, each bungalow seats up to 10 guests and includes cocktail and food service (note: does not include the cost of beverages and food ordered). While we have only four Love Shacks available on any given Oktoberfest day, they do offer a unique seating option and are perfect for smaller groups! Pricing is based on Per Person with a minimum of 8 guests and all Love Shack pricing includes Preferred Seating admission. New this year, Love Shacks will be available for purchase ONLINE beginning July 26, 2025.

Munich Patios:
Located in the High Altitude Biergarten, our two Munich Patios offer seating up to 20 guests each. These two semi-attached patios provide shade netting and are semi enclosed. Pricing is based on a minimum of 14 guests per patio. Also note, that the entertainment in the High Altitude Biergarten features our line-up of American bands playing a variety of genres.

LIMITED CAPACITY:
We urge guests to pre-purchase tickets. We do anticipate that some event days will SELL OUT. While General Admission tickets at the door are available when capacity allows, entry wait times are longer and are at a slightly higher admission fee.

Please select dates and ticket options carefully, as there are NO refunds and, due to limited capacity, we unfortunately cannot transfer tickets to other weekends. Please come prepared for the festival. Be prepared to show Photo ID upon entry to redeem pre-purchased tickets. This is a Rain or Shine event. We have the right to refuse service.
