Why should I choose Big Bear Vacations?
Because we provide the best service and products on the mountain and we truly care about your vacation experience.
What is the best way to book a cabin?
Please browse properties and book online or our Certified Vacation Planners are very happy to help you make a reservation by phone, 24/7.
What communications will you provide after I reserve?
We will email you a recap of your reservation, your online agreement, a link to your property for a reminder of bed configurations and amenities, weather, directions, ways to contact us while you are here so we can assist in every way possible, then an invitation to provide a survey and reviews.
Do you have a newsletter?
We sure do! We will send you information on specials and events 2 to 3 times per month.
What do I need for check-in?
Check in is at 4pm. Please present the credit card used to make the reservation as well as a photo ID. Prior to your arrival, please be sure to complete and submit your Paperless Check-In Packet emailed to you after you booked your reservation.
Who do I call if something is wrong?
Our team is dedicated to helping in every way possible. Just call us, these are homes so even if housekeeping, maintenance and inspections have been completed, sometimes things need to be fixed while you are here. Just contact the office and we will be at your service, even after hours for emergencies (for power or water issues).
Can I bring my pet with me to Big Bear?
Yes. Pets are welcome in most cabins for a small additional charge of $10 per pet per night. When booking your reservation, make sure the house or cabin you're booking allows pets. If booking online, narrow your search to pet-friendly homes by checking the "Pets Allowed" button. We also encourage you to bring your horses; they can stay at Sonny’s Stables.
Do I need to bring my own kitchen utensils?
Depends on how elaborate you want to be. The kitchen will have at least the essential items to cook and eat a meal. That includes plates, cups, cutlery, pots and pans. Beyond the basics, the kitchens are stocked differently depending on the home. If you require specialty items to cook with, we recommend you bring them along. You may also want to bring paper towels, dish soap, aluminum foil, storage containers and plastic baggies.
Do I need to bring my own linens or towels?
Not really. Each home has a different setup but all rentals are fully equipped with fresh linens for every bed. We also provide clean towels, washcloths, hand towels and bath mats in each bathroom. In winter, we recommend bringing extra blankets to stay plenty warm, especially if you're not used to cold mountain nights.
Will I have any chores?
Because of the presence of mountain critters, we do ask all of our guests to please make sure the dishes are cleaned before departure and that all trash is removed from the cabin and taken to the Clean Bear Site - we give you a map.
