Southern California’s best seasonal snowshoeing is right here in Big Bear Lake, CA! Take in Big Bear Lake’s serene and snowy landscape on a solo snowshoe journey or join a guided tour. Need the gear? Stop by Goldsmith’s Sports for snowshoe rentals. Adventuring on National Forest trails is permitted year-round, but Adventure Passes are required to park in most trailhead parking lots. Stop by the Visitor Center to pick up a day or annual pass. Join a Snowshoe Tour with the Big Bear Discovery Center. These snowshoe tours are made easy with equipment and guide included. Along the way, explore the San Bernardino National Forest and get to know history about Big Bear Lake. Tours must be booked in advance. Wear waterproof clothing and snow boots and don’t forget sunscreen and water! Big Bear Lake’s Action Tours leads snowshoe tours customized to each group so you can choose to take it easy or go hard.
