Tree of Lights Ceremony at Bear Valley Community Hospital – November 8
Each year, on the second Saturday of November, a beautiful pine tree on the Hospital Campus is lit at dusk.
Everyone is invited to purchase a symbolic light, in honor of, or in memory of a loved one. These names are read aloud at the ceremony.

Veterans Day Ceremony- November 11
Every year The American Legion Post 584 and the City of Big Bear Lake host a special program honoring our past and present veterans serving to protect our nation.
The ceremony begins promptly at 11am with a guest speaker and the public is cordially invited to join veterans, active personnel, and families of service personnel in this special event.

Snow Play, Snow Tubing, and Ski Resorts
With temperatures dropping our local snow play and ski resort parks get to work for opening operations.
Typically, our local snowtubing areas and the ski resorts enjoy opening day by Thanksgiving Weekend.
