With high-beamed ceilings throughout, classic sierra style large windows, warm knotty pine interior, craftsman style accents, and modern comfort upgrades like forced air heating, a wood-burning stove in the fireplace, and a tankless water heater, this 2 bedroom cabin is a rare find!
Bring the family or some friends to experience the wonderful mountain vacation you’ve been craving here at Sunny Bear Cabin, in the desirable Moonridge neighborhood! The adorable open concept living space and its comfy couches are sat around a toasty wood-burning fireplace. The wood paneling and décor are just how a cabin should be. Curl up with a good book, play a board game, or watch your favorite movie on the 4K Roku Smart TV equipped with Roku channels, access to your streaming subscriptions, and basic Spectrum cable. A family-style dining table and breakfast/après ski bar complement a kitchen complete with all the cookware and appliances you need, including a Keurig cup and drip coffee maker combo, and a dishwasher for your convenience. Being a single-level chalet there is easy access to both bedrooms and the hallway bathroom.
The bright and cheery master bedroom has a spring and memory foam mattress on a beautiful queen log bed, with high ceilings and wood paneling for that serene cabin feel. The second bedroom has two twin-over-full bunk beds, a desk, and lots of windows. The cutely decorated bathroom has a tub and shower combo, nice for a warm soak after being outdoors. Enjoy a treelined property boasting front and rear decks, including ample patio furnishings and a propane BBQ grill. The large flat backyard is fully fenced (no dogs, please) for games or for the kids to play in the snow or explore nature in the summer. During the warmer months catch up on a novel in our double hammocks or listen to the rustle of trees, play a game of horseshoes, relax on the deck, grill up a delicious dinner, and watch the stars. Enjoy your morning coffee from the deck or the couch, as the birds gather their breakfast in the yard. Being just seconds off the main Moonridge Rd. there aren’t any big hills to climb. Bear Mountain Ski Resort is only an 8-minute walk/1-minute drive. You can hit a bucket of balls at Bear Mountain Golf Course a minute away, or hike on our wooded trails. Our neighborhood is wonderful for a stroll to watch the many critters and admiring the trees as they progress through each season. The new Big Bear Alpine Zoo is a quick 2-minute drive, Snow Summit Ski Resort is 6 minutes away, while the beautiful lake, grocery stores, and the village (offering stores, restaurants, clubs, and more) are all within a 10-minute drive.
