A Big Bear Lake tradition since 1998, the Fishin’ for $50K Trout Tournament has reeled in more than 15,000 participants over the years for a shot at serious cash and a whole lot of fun. In 2024 two anglers made history by each catching a $10K tagged trout in the same weekend — the first time in the tournament’s 26-year history! Could 2026 be your year?
This is the family event of the season! Weight class prizes go to both adult and child age groups, and the raffle features thousands of dollars worth of fishing gear, bait and tackle, angling equipment, and even a brand-new fishing kayak courtesy of Big Bear Sporting Goods!

- In-person registration: Friday, May 29 — 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM at Big Bear Visitor Center
- Pre-registered check-in: Friday May 29 & Saturday May 30 from 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM
- Tournament fishing: Saturday & Sunday, May 30-31 — 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Weigh station: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM both days at Pine Knot Marina
- Awards Ceremony: Sunday, May 31 at 3:00 PM at Marina Riviera
