Things to Do in Big Bear in the Summer – Day 1: Woodland Trail

With a trailhead sitting just one mile east of the Big Bear Discovery Center, Woodland Trail is an incredible hiking destination when you’re looking for a summer trek that’s great for all ages and abilities. This 1.5-mile loop has gradual elevation increase making it a great walk with plenty of opportunities to admire the towering trees, wildlife and lake views along the way. With an Adventure Pass in hand, visitors can also take advantage of the park amenities that sit at the start of the trail when you return and are looking for a great place to spend the afternoon having a picnic or enjoying the company of your fellow travelers. Day 2: Big Bear Marina Wave Runner Rentals

When you’re in the mood for an adrenaline-pumping day on the waters of Big Bear Lake or even some exciting Big Bear activities in the Summer, head over to Big Bear Marina and rent a wave runner or two. These quality Yamaha VX 1100 wave runners can seat up to three people at a time and can be rented at $130 per hour. Wave Runner drivers must be over the age of 18, but equipment can accommodate friends and family. Come soak up the sun at a thrilling pace while taking in the view as you fly across the shoreline.

Day 3: Big Bear Fishing Charter

Even the most experienced angler can use a refresher when the summer season is upon us.
