Big Bear Vacations & the Polar Bear Plunge
There are certain things that tug at your heart strings. Supporting the community and on an even bigger level, supporting all people in need is definitely up there on the “warm fuzzy” list.

Date: March 4, 2017
Time: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location: Big Bear Lake, California

This year marks the 6th Annual Polar Bear Plunge and it’s for a really great cause – the Special Olympics. All funds are donated to Special Olympics of Southern California. What better way to spend your Saturday? Donate $50 for a great cause, jump in some icy water and party with your friends! I mean coming to Big Bear Lake is all about the party right? If you want to get super crazy add a costume to that mix – get down with your crazy polar bear self!

On a serious note, Special Olympics heavily relies on volunteers and donations in order to provide opportunities to their athletes to compete in competitions, continued education and athlete health. By participating in this event you can make a difference.

“Special Olympics Southern California enriches the lives of more than 28,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and their communities in Southern California through sports, education and athlete help.” – (www.sosc.org)

If you are unable to plunge into Big Bear Lake, you can still help. Visit www.sosc.org for more information.

“Special Olympics Southern California provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.” – (www.sosc.org)

Big Bear Vacations staff will be participating in the Plunge – so come join us! We would love to see you there.
